Many congratulations to our team of Tough Mudders who took on the hills of Henley-on-Thames in the 10+ mile endurance challenge on 6th May. They battled through ice baths, sewer pipes and electrocution all in aid of or charity partner CLIC Sargent – and together raised almost £7,000! On average a quarter of all participants don’t actually finish the challenge but despite a few injuries along the way, every person crossed the finished line and earned their Tough Mudder headband. Brilliant effort by all!
Emma Bishop, Change Implementation Manager at Stansted, said:
“Tough Mudder was one of the most challenging yet rewarding things I have ever done. What’s not to love about a day in icy cold water, getting covered in mud?”
Fellow team member Chris Wiggin added:
“This is an amazing achievement and we would like to thank everyone that supported, spectated, donated and gave up their time to make this such a successful event.”
CLIC Sargent Fundraising Manager Sam Scott said:
“We are all very impressed by the efforts of the Stansted team. Every penny raised by their race will help us fight for young lives struck by cancer. We are very grateful for the support.”
