Members of staff from the terminal recently swapped their hi-vis jackets for overalls when they spent the day painting offices at the Fragile X Society in Great Dunmow. The charity, which supports local people suffering from the condition known as Fragile X syndrome, gained when the team consisting of Airport Duty Manager Kristen Young, & Security Duty Managers Luke Durston, Emma Kennedy, Geoff Norton, Kate Landimore & Darren Johnson painted and decorated 3 offices.
Pat Lodge from Volunteer Uttlesford, who organised the day said of the initiative:
“This is such a wonderful way to support charities and hopefully to work as a team.”
Becky Hardiman, from the Fragile X Society went on to add:
“It’s not just the seven members of staff that have benefitted but ultimately 1709 family members of The Fragile X Society.”
